R&O Básicos is established in Uruguay, most precisely in the San José department. With just a little more than 3 million inhabitants, the Oriental Republic of Uruguay is a country located in South America, the second smallest of the subcontinent.
This country, with an area of only 176,215 square Km, is bounded by Brazil to the North and East, by Argentina to the West and Southwest, and by the Atlantic Ocean to the Southeast.
Uruguay’s main economic activities come from the agricultural industry and livestock, thanks to its vast surface of countryside and a long tradition. Other significant industries for the country are paper mills and cardboard, as well as fertilizers, alcohol, cement and refining. Other important sectors are services and IT industry.
Another important source of income in Uruguay is tourism: there are several seaside resorts along the East coast, including Punta del Este, regarded as a jet set destination in South America, and Piriápolis. Agriculture and livestock, historical and thermal tourism are also of relevance.
